Jerry Drew is the CEO of Network Thermostat and J. Drew, Inc. Consulting. Jerry was a pioneer in the smart communicating thermostat market with first products released nearly 27 years ago. He is the founder of several successful HVAC Controls and Energy Management companies and has twice been awarded by Frost & Sullivan, once as Entrepreneur of the Year for the North American Thermostat market, and also for North American HVAC Product Innovation of the Year.
Jerry (or ‘Drew’, as many refer to him) possesses over thirty five (35) years of experience in business leadership and management. He has consistently focused on technically oriented organizations in the multi-family housing, commercial electronics and controls, semiconductor and building automation industries.
He began his career as an Engineering Manager at Trammel Crow Co. (TCC). During his tenure at TCC, he traveled extensively to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to develop a network of semiconductor and computer-related manufacturing facilities. Before starting his own companies, he also spent several years at Texas Instruments in management for International Marketing and Computer Aided Engineering.
Network Thermostat (NT) is the primary focus for Mr. Drew. He has led Network Thermostat to forefront of commercial wireless communications for HVAC control through redefining communicating thermostat concepts that he first conceived in the early 1990’s. With more than quarter century of experience in communicating thermostats, NT’s customers reach many markets, including product development and manufacturing for some of the largest building controls manufacturers around the globe and several vertical markets, Chick-Fil-A, and hundreds upon hundreds of facilities in retail, worship, multi-family, commercial, industrial, K-12 and university campuses. NT was picked by Honeywell-Middle East to design and provide thermostats for the most impressive and tallest project in the world, the Burj-Khalifa with more than 3,600 thermostats.
He has also co-founded two other energy management and HVAC controls companies and served as their President during this time frame. And finally, he was selected by Schneider Electric to take over global responsibility of all Robertshaw thermostats in 2015, all while continuing to run NT.
