Lead Facilities Associate

Position Overview:
 
Assists in monitoring campus properties and facilities to identify maintenance and custodial needs before they become a distraction to the activities conducted on campus; Works with and oversees facilities team members.
 
Essential Job functions/responsibilities include:

  • Assists in the maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, and recycling responsibilities on campus.      
  • Provides maintenance/repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and furnishings.
  • Assists with setups for daily/weekly/periodic events.
  • Assists in providing housekeeping/cleaning for the campus.
  • Provides lawn care services for the campus properties.
  • Works with Director Facilities in preparing work schedules, assigning work and    overseeing work product while minimizing overtime.
  • Oversee facilities staffing resources (other facility staff, contractors, volunteers) with facilities set up needs, repairs, and maintenance, as assigned by Director Facilities.
  • Provides 24-hour coverage for emergency plumbing problems or HVAC breakdowns and programming problems . 
  • Ensure that on-campus and off-campus facility safety and security protocal’s are followed in order to provide Church participants with a safe positive experience.
  • Maintain and update facility maintenance work orders, procedures, checklists and order status using the Church’s maintenance software (currently MaintainX).
  • Other duties as assigned due to other staff illness or vacations.
 Assisting the Director Facilities with other duties through:
  • Managing of staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure support and adherence to the safety rules and practices in the absence of the Director Facilities.
  • Maintain and update facility maintenance work orders, procedures, checklists and order status using the Church’s maintenance software (currently MaintainX).

Qualifications 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities and staff management is required.
  • Prior experience in faith-based ministry or non-profit service is preferred.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with facility management such as MaintainX.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, results driven, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to collaborate in a team environment. 
Work Environment 
The work environment is a professional office arrangement. As a church, it is important to convey a serving attitude and accommodating spirit to our members, guests and other people who interact with the church. 
 
This is a full-time position. Primary work week is Monday through Friday with periodic adjustments based on Campus/Facility event requirements.
