Leadership Breakfast Series - Visionary Leadership
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSED: Walk Up Registration Available Beginning at 8 a.m. (3/22) at Cowboys Golf Club
Session:
Visionary Leadership - Learn why a leader has to have a clear, concise vision. What happens when the vision is not clear, internally and externally?
Speaker - Jim Gardner, Founder/CEO of Legendary United
Founding and leading multiple enterprises, Jim has always been an entrepreneur. He has also served for over 30 years as a corporate executive and leader for iconic brands including McKesson, Pizza Hut, Tandy/Radio Shack, Fidelity Investments, and Levi Strauss & Co. Through his experience and observation, Jim recognized that most people and organizations fail completely or at a minimum, fail to reach their potential first and foremost because there is no vision.
After several years of global responsibility, Jim was ready for a change and decided to leave the corporate world behind as an employee. He soon thereafter met John C. Maxwell who asked Jim to join the John Maxwell Team as certified speaker and coach. Jim has since worked with a variety of coaches and mentors for his own development and recently became a member of Les Brown’s Platinum Speaking Team.
When asked, most people can’t explain why they do what they do, who they do it for, how they do it, and what value they add. Jim has found this to be true in most businesses as well. People simply do what they do or what their told to do without questioning themselves. They don’t question because they have no vision of what success or significance looks like.
Leveraging his own experiences in clearly defining visions within corporations, organizations and his own businesses, Jim speaks, coaches, and consults with business and organizational leaders, educators, and students on 9 Principals that help to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and clear vision no matter what role they may be serving.
Due to his personal challenges as an adolescent, Jim has a passion and a vision for the development and success of our children. He is actively involved in public education transformation. Jim also mentors in high schools and participates in educational recovery programs for at risk teens and their parents.
