Join us at Silverado Memory Care in Southlake for a day of planting in our Renewal Garden!  Therapeutic Horticulturist Susan Morgan and Calloway Plants' Ty Poynter will be helping plant herbs that can be used for cooking, plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and seasonal vegetable to be nurtured by residents. Participant will receive a plant to take home for helping!

In addition to gardening activities there will be discussions about the beneficial properties of gardening, especially for those with dementia.  Attendees will also learn about Nexus at Silverado, a program designed to help slow the progression of Alzheimer's in the early stages of memory impairment.
