Identity theft fraud amounted to $37 billion, and the average fraud amount per victim was $4,607. Additionally, the personal cost to consumers rose 63%, to $631.

What can you do?
Be aware of the risk and practice sound prevention. Secure important records and properly dispose of old documents.
