Ever wondered how a bridge is built? Or why there are so many orange barrels on the road during construction? Maybe how we manage storm water control during construction? These are all questions you can ask at the DFW Connector Public Appreciation Day!
You are invited to attend our Public Appreciation Day/Open House so that we can thank you in person for your continued support of the project! Please stop by the Grapevine Convention Center to meet with project personnel, see how the project has progressed since we began construction on February 17, 2010 and learn about major 2011 work.
Our exhibits will include:
1. Project Safety - how do we keep you and our workers safe?
2. Maintenance of Traffic - how and when do we set up lane closures?
3. Schedule - what is our 3-D Design? What can you expect for the next year?
4. Structures - how is a bridge built?
5. Paving - how do we make concrete at the batch plant?
6. Equipment - come look at our innovative equipment
7. Public Information - come see what we're doing to keep you informed about the work
8. Environmental - come learn what silt sock is and why it's so important!
