Butterfly Flutterby
Calling all kids - come to Grapevine to celebrate the migration of the Monarch Butterfly from Canada to Mexico. Grapevine is on their path! This fun-for-the-whole-family event includes releases of butterflies and a Gossamer Parade. Join the fun at the Historic Cotton Belt Railroad District 701 South Main Street, you’ll enjoy butterfly exhibits, gardening seminars and all sorts of interactive butterfly arts and crafts and entertainment. The Parade will line up at 9:30 AM at Liberty Park (corner of East Wall and Main Street) and proceed down Main Street to the Cotton Belt Railroad District.
In the parking lot at the intersection of Wall St. and Jenkins St.
8:45 a.m. - Parade Registration
9:30 a.m. - Parade Line-up
10:00 a.m. - Parade starts toward the Cotton Belt Depot
All other activities at the Cotton Belt Railroad District (Main Street and the Railroad tracks)
10:45 a.m. - First Butterfly Release
11:15 a.m. - Costume Contest Awards
11:45 a.m. - Second Butterfly Release
12:30 p.m. - Final Butterfly Release
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Enjoy butterfly exhibits, entertainment, interactive butterfly arts and crafts, and $1 popcorn!
