DESCRIPTION:All Aboard: Social Skills & Self-Regulation Camp\n\nJune 4th   7th 9:00-12:00   July 9th   12th 9:00-12:00   Ages 8 -14   Cost: $300\n\nBring a sack lunch   Art Camp is offered as an extension from 12:00-1:00   Sessions will be run by qualified therapists including OTs\, SLPs\, & Counselor   Minimum of 5 students in each session\n\n  Sessions will focus on identifying the stages of self-regulation\, experimenting with methods to changes those states\, and learning to regulate for different situations.\n\n  Teaching children that there are healthy\, socially acceptable means to control themselves\, to slow down or speed up when they need to\, helps them deal with attention and sensory processing issues.\n\n  Social skills training will be introduced. The approach utilized will follow the Social Cognition approach by\n\nMichelle Garcia Winner. Social thinking is our innate ability to think through and apply information to succeed\n\nin situations that require social knowledge.\n\n  Many benefits are seen from using this program including enhanced abilities to learn\, improved interactions\,\n\nimproved self-esteem\, improved self-confidence\, and improved self-monitoring skills.
