When she was hired in 1992 as editorial director for the Arlington edition of the newspaper\, she was the first fulltime female editorial writer in the newspaper's history.\n\n\n\nLabbe went to the Star-Telegram after serving as editor of the A.H. Belo Corp.'s Grand Prairie Daily News. Her work experience prior to newspapers includes a stint as a national public relations coordinator for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus\, and eight years in hotel sales and marketing in north Texas.\n\n\n\nLabbe sits on the boards of Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth and the Tarrant Literacy Coalition\, a nonprofit agency she helped found that advocates for and provides training to low-literate adults in Tarrant\, Parker and Johnson counties. She is a member of the Board of Visitors for the AddRan College of Liberal Arts at Texas Christian University.\n\n\n\nLabbe is a life member of the Kansas University Alumni Association\, having spent four great years of learning   and not all of it in a classroom   at the Lawrence campus.\n\n\n\nRule attended and graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance\, then completed his MBA at Texas Tech University.\n\n\n\nAfter nearly 7 years working in operations and financial analysis\, lastly as Vice President of Planning and Analysis with an investment bank in Dallas\, Rule earned his Law degree from Texas Wesleyan University.  Rule was admitted to the Texas Bar in May of 1997.  \n\n\n\nRule practiced law in-house for financial services firms and an insurance holding company system as Associate General Counsel before joining JPS as Vice President of Planning and Analysis in September of 2009 where he oversees real estate\, planning\, insurance procurement\, legal services\, and other administrative areas.
