SUMMARY:Fourth Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes
DESCRIPTION:The Candlelight Tour of Homes will begin at Homestead Winery\, located at 211 E. Worth St. At check-in\, each participant will receive a guidebook and enjoy a wine taste compliments of Homestead Winery. The Candlelight Tour of Homes covers six blocks and is designed to be a walking tour. Luminaries will mark each destination home. "As you stroll through the residential historic district\, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places\, participants will have a sense of neighborhood life sixty or more years ago. And you will experience the pride\, loving care and joy that the owners have in their homes\," said Dr. Curtis Ratliff\, chairman of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation.\n\n\n\nHomeowners will be present to greet all participants and discuss the distinguishing characteristics of their residences. Some of the stops expected to be on tour are the ca. 1900 Millican House located at 603 E. Worth St. and Bermuda Gold & Silver at 404 S. Main St.\, formerly Grapevine Home Bank\, known for having been robbed by members of Bonnie and Clyde's gang.\n\n\n\nTickets are only $10 per person and may be purchased at Homestead Winery on Saturday starting at 3:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nTo purchase tickets online\, click here.
