DESCRIPTION:This free community education event will provide education on recognizing signs of prenatal and perinatal distress\, when it becomes more than the baby blues\, and when and how to seek professional help. The conversation will be informal and will normalize aspects of maternal and paternal mental health that are heavily stigmatized from a strengths-based\, hope-oriented perspective. Handouts will be provided\, and a question and answer session will conclude the event. Light refreshments will be available. \n\n\n\nDr. Olivia Wedel\, owner of Olivia Wedel Counseling & Consulting\, PLLC in Grapevine\, is a dual-licensed counselor in Texas (LPC & LCDC)\, a National Certified Counselor (NCC)\, and is certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International. Dr. Olivia is also a mom and a survivor of postpartum depression.
