Grapevine-Colleyville ISD celebrates many successes each year. Such success is because its students and employees exceed standards at nearly every level. These achievements also mean something else: when people move to DFW, they want to live in GCISD.
GCISD schools long have been recognized for their academics. District students annually surpass standards on state exams. Nine campuses are rated Exemplary – the highest ranking in the state – and 11 have been named National Blue Ribbon schools. Because GCISD schools have a wellknown reputation for success, the district attracts top teachers at every level.
District high schools have been named among Newsweek’s Best High Schools and GCISD students outperform the state and national averages in ACT and SAT scores. When students leave GCISD, they are prepared for success in life beyond high school and gain acceptance to well-respected universities throughout the nation.
Beyond K-12, Grapevine sits near 20 colleges and universities such as Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Austin College and other prestigious institutions that draw students from all over the world and provide even more options to young people living in Grapevine.
