A program of the City of Grapevine and the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Grapevine offers an educational experience designed to develop an awareness of the city, its relationship with the DFW Metroplex and to provide personal leadership training. At the conclusion of the program, participants are better prepared, to seek leadership roles, both within their business and community.
Participation in the class is limited to 25 individuals. Leadership Grapevine participants are selected through an application and selection process, with the purpose of this process to assure a mix of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences that represent a cross section of the city.

About the Speaker:
Giovanni has been married for 15 years to his wife Elisa and has three children, two of whom attend Carroll Elementary School. He has lived the American dream. After receiving his BS in Physics he pursued his MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University. After school Giovanni went on to work for a DFW based venture capital/private equity firm.
Giovanni is now the owner and President of his own small business, Texas Adventure Capital LLC, where he provides business services to various investment fund managers and business owners. His focus is investing in Texas-based small businesses. Prior to that Giovanni was a Senior Vice President at an investment firm where he managed the loan and equity portfolios of various American businesses. Before that Giovanni held various positions at computer engineering companies primarily centered around semiconductor design and Internet products.
Giovanni was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2012 and is serving his second term representing District 98 which encompasses all or part of Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Westlake, North Fort Worth and Haslet. He currently serves on the following committees: Appropriations, Local & Consent, and Investments & Financial Services where he serves as the Chair of the Bond Indebtedness sub-committee. He voluntarily serves as the Secretary of the House Energy Caucus and on the public school finance work-group during the interim session and has become a champion for public education, particularly focusing on equitable funding for robin-hood districts. |

Visit Nash Farm and experience stepping into a 19th century home while witnessing the domestic duties of a farm family. Guests have the opportunity to see costumed interpreters performing seasonal chores using tools and techniques of the period, such as sewing, spinning, weaving, dying, cooking, washing, ironing laundry, cleaning, gardening, harvesting, preserving, making candles or other household examples.
This open-house setting allows guests to discuss the activities with the interpreters and involvement may be encouraged when possible. Following your visit to the farmhouse, you may visit the farm grounds to complete your experience. Registration is required, but walk-in registration is also encouraged. Kristine is a 1987 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Oral Roberts University with a BS Accounting degree and has been awarded the Wall Street Journal Award for Business Leadership. Kristine has been practicing as a tax accountant and financial professional since 1989. She concentrates in personalized tax planning and financial services for individuals, partnerships and corporations.
Kristine specializes in the employee benefit plan arena for many small business clients.
Kristine began her career with a billion dollar savings and loan in central Florida and then worked with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a bank investigator. She more recently worked with the international Big 4 Firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as an audit manager, serving primarily financial services clients.
In June of 2000, Kristine launched her independent accounting practice on a full-time basis, using her experience and contacts to grow a practice with a focus on taxation issues.
